Position Overview

The Sales Manager (US, Wholesale) for Volkl will manage the US sales force of independent rep agencies to drive sales growth and hit financial targets for the brand. The Sales Manager works closely with our Product and Marketing teams to sell, educate, and promote the brand. Working under the guidance of the Global Brand Director and the Director of Ski Sales, the Sales Manager will ensure the alignment of sales strategy and initiatives with the overarching brand goals and product focus.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for meeting fiscal year forecast for Volkl Skis
  2. Control and allocate expenses within budgeted goals
  3. Maintain complex forecasting tools, used to drive factory PO placement and inventory delivery to the US marketplace
  4. Continually manage and analyze sales reporting data and forecasts
  5. Ensure sales potential is met through accurate forecasting and communication with supply chain
  6. Plan, coordinate and execute sales meetings, on-snow demos, and private line showings
  7. Execute retail sales programs and promotions as well as digital sales
  8. Maintain positive relationships and active sales engagement with existing and potential retail partners
  9. Regular check-ins with the finance team providing updates on the market, sales context, and voice operational requests and needs
  10. Grow distribution of Volkl products in the US marketplace, through relationship building with retail partners and motivating the US rep force
  11. Support the Global Brand Director in their capacity
  12. Support sales force and retail base to maximize brand visibility
  13. Assist in coordination of sales and marketing meetings and trade events
  14. Order and coordinate demo and sales samples as well as SWAG/POP
  15. Assist in coordinating and facilitating social, email and web promotions
  16. Assist in the distribution of athlete/team gear
  17. Manage inventory of marketing and sales sample and demo product
  18. Provide digital outreach – answering questions and providing insights online
  19. Provide info to web/digital team to keep Brand website(s) up to date
  20. Assist with copywriting for catalogs, B2B, and consumer websites
  21. Manage projects and timelines
  22. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Three to five years' relevant experience in account management or sales
  2. Must be a competent skier, comfortable with different terrains
  3. Demonstrated management and organizational skills
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data verbally and in writing
  5. Must have prior industry experience
  6. Expert mastery of Excel including database analysis, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  7. Outgoing personality - sales friendly

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
  2. Experience with forecasting, inventory, and sales preferred

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to sit for long periods of time
  2. Ability to enter data for long periods of time
  3. Ability to stand for long periods of time
  4. May be required to lift 5-50 pounds occasionally

Salary

This is an Exempt position with Elevate Outdoor Collective. The pay range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 Annually.
