The overall functions of the HR Assistant include recruitment, selection, onboarding and orientation of new employees with specific emphasis on Home Health Care Recruitment. As part of the Human Relations department, the HR Assistant will initiate and recruit for a high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment. Working closely with employees to ensure all HR duties are undertaken in accordance with employment law, company policy and ensuring any risk to the business is minimized.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for recruitment, onboarding and orientation of new employees.
• Utilization of identified systems to (e.g. Generations, SharePoint) to store information and communicate as needed.
• Support the HR Manager/Director with all projects, reports and recruiting.
• Forming strong relationships and collaborate with the management team to be able to maintain a high-performance environment.
• Day to day duties are emailing, answering phone, sending out messages, tracking employees, tracking employee notes, maintain file, completing projects on a timely manner.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including phones, email setup, computers, etc.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed in accordance with employment law, and company policy.
• Provide reception support to Home Care department.
• Other duties as assigned
Job Skills/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University in a related field preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Resources, Employee Services or any related field.
• Basic knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and 365 platform.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
