Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, we are looking for a Part-time (less than 30 hours week) Project Engineer to join our transportation group. This opportunity is available in our Denver, Colorado office location.
Responsibilities include:
- Serves as technical leader on large and/or complex projects
- Assists with program and project management as needed
- Assists with developing pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects
- Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, permits and designs for projects
- Assists with forecasting workload for assigned staff
- Provides technical guidance to staff in area of expertise
- Assists with marketing pursuits and investigates and identifies marketing opportunities to attract clients and obtain work for the company
- Quality Control of engineering documents
- Researches and recommends advances in technical software and other new technology in the field to improve efficiency
A valid driver's license, and some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited four-year college in urban planning, civil engineering, or related field AND at least eighteen (18) years of relevant planning experience. Professional Engineering License in Colorado required.

- Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)
- Working with Colorado Communities
- Expertise with Civil3D and Open Roads
- Drainage Experience (Analysis / Reports / Design)
- Roadway / Highway Design
- Intersection / Interchange / Roundabout Design

Salary Range: $72.00 - $96.00 (hourly) - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
