Internet Appointment Coordinator

Gerry Lane Buick GMC is one of Louisiana’s top selling GM dealerships. We are seeking energetic individuals to join our unique and fast-paced Internet Department Team. This is a great opportunity to start your career in retail automotive and familiarize yourself with the entire dealership experience.

In this role, you will be the link between the Internet Automobile Shopper and their future vehicle. You will assist the customer with questions regarding the company, perspective vehicles, and their ability to purchase. You will learn about all of the newest vehicles and technologies on the market. We have an in-house training team dedicated to your success; offering online and in-store training programs with our manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer calls and make outgoing calls to customers who have sent a email request for more information and make follow-up calls to set sales appointments
  • Provide customers with initial product information & set an appointment to come to our dealership
  • Follow up with leads that are not ready to make an appointment or no-show
  • Participate in morning sales meetings – communicating daily with management to discuss daily lead and appointment progress
  • In addition there will be additional administrative duties that pertain Internet Department

Qualifications:

  • Previous Retail Sales/Customer Service experience required
  • Previous automotive experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Possess the ability to start and maintain a friendly conversation with Internet prospects
  • Confident, pleasant and professional phone voice
  • Possess time management skills and be able to work independently
  • Team player attitude
  • Prompt and courteous
  • Enthusiastic personality
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
