Manager, Business Development What We Need As we continue to grow North American Sales, we're seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Business Development to build and lead the next evolution of our centralized inside sales team (Business Development Representatives). The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for designing, developing and leading a high-performing, centralized team focused on recruiting, training and developing people, managing inbound lead qualification, and outbound demand generation across our various GTM initiatives. This role requires a strong leader with experience in talent recruitment, talent development, driving results in a high-intensity environment, and a strong understanding of modern B2B sales processes. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in building and managing teams that exceed performance targets, partner exceptionally across departments and stakeholders, and a proven ability to deliver exceptional results. A Day in the Life Recruitment, Leadership and Talent Development Design recruitment strategies, candidate profiles, training and sustainable, effective talent development plans cross-departmentally Lead, develop, and mentor a team of centralized business development representatives to achieve and exceed quantified performance targets Foster a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and professional growth with consistent and sustainable outcomes Implement programs and provide ongoing coaching to ensure team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed Inbound Lead Qualification Oversee the process of qualifying inbound leads to ensure they are appropriately routed and managed by the sales team. Implement and refine lead scoring methodologies to prioritize and optimize lead engagement leveraging Element Rev Tech stack Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and other departments to align lead qualification strategies with overall company goals Outbound Demand Generation Develop and execute outbound sales strategies to generate new business opportunities Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of outbound campaigns and adjust tactics as necessary Work closely with the Marketing and Sales team(s) to align demand generation efforts with broader marketing initiatives and ensure consistent messaging Key partner for Managing Directors and Sales Directors Internal Relationship Management: Fosters a mindset of partnership across the business that drives customer centricity, responsiveness, and a sense of urgency. Influences business partners, fosters collaboration and builds commitment to achieve shared goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related education and experience 5+ years of experience in sales and sales management, preferably in a B2B environment Proven track record of leading successful inside sales or client (prospect) facing teams in a high-intensity, performance-driven environment preferred Strong understanding of lead qualification and demand generation strategies Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong proficiency in CRM and Rev Tech tools (i.e. familiarity with applications like Salesforce, ZoomInfo and Sales Nav) Knowledge & Competencies Dynamic, motivating, positive and inspiring leader with demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members Dedicated to meet and exceed the expectations and needs of the Sales and Marketing organization Builds and maintains productive working relationships based on mutual trust at all levels in the organization.
