We are transforming from a supplier of trucks and buses to a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions.The Engineer will create/manage 3D CAD data for all vehicle Platforms within the Vehicle Architecture group. Under general supervision provides technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the next level.Serves as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, service, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modification, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.The Vehicle Architecture department provides and maintains the collaborative 3D workspace and guides cross functional engineering design efforts.ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with program and engineering management to translate and incorporate customer vehicle-level performance and configuration requirements into cross-functional integration and design targets.Establishes product structure and data management leadership in the creation and maintenance of vehicle-level master models.Takes a proactive, leadership role by acting as a customer advocate and technical ‘referee’ for cross-functional attribute, design and vehicle packaging efforts.Performs and/or coordinates packaging studies to meet vehicle integration requirements.Interacts effectively across the organization: program management, customers, application engineering, design teams, manufacturing teams, and senior management.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceORCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employmentAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
