Regulatory Analyst

Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a Regulatory Analyst to oversee compliance and conduct market analysis in the energy sector. The analyst will work closely with regulatory agencies and internal departments to ensure full regulatory compliance while aligning with the company's growth and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:

• Establish relationships with key regulators and participate in industry stakeholder meetings.
• Monitor market rules and regulations, assessing their impact on business operations.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to ensure team understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Analyze market activities to advise on business strategy and operational impacts.
• Maintain and enhance internal compliance controls to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Provide expert advice on regulatory and administrative aspects of current and future business activities.
• Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and data requests.
• Lead the development of market compliance strategies and initiatives to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams to balance compliance requirements with business goals.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an energy trading firm, with at least 2 years in a market compliance or regulatory role.
• Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of industry laws, regulations, and standards applicable to energy trading.
• Experience with energy trading markets and products, including natural gas, power, and renewables.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work across teams and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle complex regulatory issues.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
